So will Godzilla be CGI or hand-drawn?
Research has indicated there is simply not enough Godzilla in our lives. No, not even with Evangelion mastermind Hideaki Anno in the director's chair for an all-new movie. What we clearly need is an animated Godzilla as well, one written by Gen (Thunderbolt Fantasy) Urobuchi. Animation will be by Polygon Pictures (Knights of Sidonia), so I guess yes, it'll be CGI.
So will Kon be CGI or animatronic?
Three words: Bleach, live-action. With the conclusion of the manga comes this announcement -- despite the fact that Bleach creator Tite Kubo has said he didn't see how a live-action movie would be worth the while (and I agree with him). But the property still has massive name recognition in Japan and abroad, so who leaves that kind of money on the table?

- As Ichigo Kurosaki: Sota Fukushi, from the live-action versions of "Say, I Love You.", Strobe Edge, Library Wars and Laughing Under the Clouds.

Now comes a piece of news that will make the last one seem positively staid: the screenwriters of Guardians of the Galaxy and Gravity Falls are being tapped for a live-action Pokémon film.

I didn't even know there was a live-action Haruchika film in the works, but apparently there is. The anime is currently available on Crunchyroll, but I confess the material didn't catch my attention (Your Lie In April has co-opted that place in my heart for now, I confess).

The live-action Gin Tama (yes, this is an actual thing that will exist soon) will "continue the proud tradition of Kagura puking". It's nice to know they're being so, uh, scrupulously faithful to the source material.
